Paradox
A paradox is a situation or statement that seems to contradict itself, but still has some truth in it. It looks like it can’t possibly make sense, yet when you think more carefully, there is a real point or truth hidden inside.
A paradox is something that makes you say, “That can’t be right… but in a way, it is.” For example, ideas like “you can win by losing” or “the more you chase happiness, the harder it is to feel happy” sound wrong at first, but they describe patterns people really see in life.
Paradoxes are useful because they force the mind to slow down and look at things from a new angle. They show that reality and human thinking are sometimes more complex than simple either‑or, true‑false answers, and they invite deeper reflection instead of quick reactions.
