Scaffolded Development: Complex skills or structures do not emerge in isolation. They rely on a foundational layers of temporary support structures—known as “props” or scaffolds—that are progressively accumulated and built upon. As the higher-level hierarchical structure stabilizes, these supporting props are either integrated into the core system or discarded.
