Panpsychism is the philosophical view that consciousness, mind, or mind-like properties are fundamental and ubiquitous features of the physical world. Rather than emerging solely from complex biological brains, basic experiential properties are built into the fundamental foundations of reality, such as elementary particles.
James Hillman’s archetypal psychology presents the psyche as fundamentally plural, or or of multiple minds. Human beings do not possess only one psychological voice, value system or centre of intelligence.
Objectivity, in this landscape, usually means not a “view from nowhere,” but “as independent of any one person’s quirks as we can practically make it.”
