Panentheistic describes the belief that the universe exists within God, but God is also greater than the universe, pervading it while transcending it. It’s a middle ground between pantheism (God is the universe) and classical theism (God is separate from the universe). In a panentheistic view, God is immanent (in everything) and transcendent (beyond everything), with the cosmos being God’s body or manifestation, allowing for a dynamic, interactive relationship where God can be affected by the world.
