It can be triggered by major life events, such as death, divorce, or illness, or by a sense of dissatisfaction with one’s current situation. An Existential Crisis can cause feelings of Anxiety, Depression, loneliness, and despair, as well as a loss of motivation and identity. However, it can also be an opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery, as one explores their deepest values and beliefs.
