Enlightened in psychology means having a clear and rational understanding of oneself and one’s emotions, motives, and values. It also means being aware of the social and cultural influences that shape one’s behaviour and world-view. An Enlightened person is able to critically examine their own assumptions and beliefs, and to seek new perspectives and experiences that challenge their existing views. An Enlightened person is Open-minded, curious, and Compassionate towards themselves and others.
